Eating clean should not be hard. But lets face it, rather than shopping at Whole Foods for bland chicken breast and rice, it’s much easier to go to the nearest drive-thru to grab the biggest, thickest, juiciest burger on the menu. Eating clean should not be this difficult! There MUST be a better way! Here is a list of 5 easy-to-make, delicious, and healthy meals you can make the next time you’re craving that cheeseburger.

 

5. Poke

This dish is one of the most popular appetizers in all of Hawaii. But now, little poke shops are popping up all over North America. What is it? Well, it’s cubed-sized sashimi-grade fish marinaded in light soy and onions. It is sometimes paired with rice, making it a poke bowl. Below are the ingredients for making this insanely delicious dish.

INGREDIENTS:

Sashimi-grade fish (tuna, salmon, or yellowtail)
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Green onions
Sushi rice
Chilli oil or flakes (optional)

 

4. Acai Bowls

Don’t confuse this dish for ice cream. Although it looks like ice cream, it tastes absolutely different and is actually really really really good for you. This South American berry is said to make your skin feel better, treat damaged hair, and even prevent ulcers. The most common way to eat this super fruit is blended with bananas and topped with fruits like strawberries and blueberries. Chia seeds and granola are popular picks, but are optional. Frozen acai pack
Banana
Granola
Chia seeds
Cocoa powder
Berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

 

3. Zucchini Noodle Pastas

Yes! It’s a real thing. Substituting zucchini noodles for your regular pasta noodles is a healthy and tasty alternative. To make this dish, simply take a potato peeler or cheese grater and cut them up noodle-sized.
